On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers  are playing the Atlanta Hawks (at home) in California.

During the game, D'Angelo Russell made team history by moving ahead of Eddie Jones (489) for eighth on the team's all-time three-pointers  list

Following Jones, the next player for Russell to pass will be Kyle Kuzma (510).  

Russell has had a good game, and put up 27 points, four rebounds, ten assists and one steal while shooting 8/14 from the field and 6/10 from the three-point range in 30 minutes of playing time.   

The 2019 NBA All-Star came into the evening with averages of 17.9 points, 3.0 rebounds and 6.3 assists per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 41.9% from the three-point range in 63 games.  

Meanwhile, the Lakers are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 36-32 record in 68 games. 

They have gone 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Lakers lost to the Golden State Warriors by a score of 128-121.

Russell had 23 points, three rebounds, 13 assists and one steal while shooting 7/12 from the field and 5/8 from the three-point range in 40 minutes of playing time.

Following the Hawks, the Lakers will play their next game on Friday evening when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.

Russell was the second pick in the 2015 NBA Draft and has also spent time with the Brooklyn Nets, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.
