Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY Sports

Sacramento Kings star De’Aron Fox has submitted his entry for the best lowlight of the 2023-24 NBA season.

Fox had a clear fast break late in the first half of Sacramento’s 131-110 win over the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night. Domantis Sabonis made a nice play in the paint to force a Pistons turnover, and Kevin Huerter quickly got the ball to Fox.

Fox had what should have been an easy dunk or layup, but he blew it. The embarrassing blunder went viral.

We haven’t seen a dunk attempt fail that badly since Russell Westbrook tried to posterize Dillon Brooks (video here).

Fox finished with 26 points on 10/19 shooting. He was an impressive 4/7 from 3-point range. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make the easy one.
