In the NBA, sometimes you have to exercise a bit of patience. Patience is required on both the team franchises as well as the players in the league too.

We have seen patience being exercised for a while now in the NBA. You can take James Harden and all of his trade situations throughout his career for example. There was the ordeal in Brooklyn which turned into another ordeal in Philadelphia too. That situation got ugly as he went on to call Philadelphia 76ers GM Darryl Morey a liar.

The Wizards have shown true professionalism when getting deals done. There is honesty on both sides and we are seeing it in the case of Kyle Kuzma . Reports have emerged that Kyle Kuzma could have been traded to the Dallas Mavericks. Kuzma went on the record stating the Wizards front office approached him stating that they had a deal in place to send him to Dallas. However, he wanted to stay in Washington with the Wizards so they ultimately decided to walk away from the deal.

This potential Kyle Kuzma to Dallas deal may very well be a deal that will be revisited this summer during the offseason. The Wizards may actually be able to get a better deal then and Kyle Kuzma may have a change of heart and want a different scenery next season. That may especially be the case if the Mavericks make a deep playoff push. The icing on the cake is having former Wizard Center Daniel Gafford there too.

It will be interesting to see how things shake up and if the Wizards could possibly get a third team involved to get better draft capital once the NBA Draft Lottery and Draft Order is revealed. The Mavs have had Kuzma on their radar for quite sometime now. In the meantime for now, Kyle Kuzma is a Washington Wizard.
