Dennis Schroder responds to Steve Kerr's flopping allegations

Schroder responded to Steve Kerr's complaint that the Lakers used "gamesmanship" to get foul calls on the Warriors late, though Kerr remembered the two whistles as "three or four" illegal screen calls. Those were two of the four total offensive fouls called in the game, one on Rui Hachimura and the rest on the Warriors.

Kerr didn't mention Schroder by name as a flopper, but Schroder felt singled out, probably because, well, he flops all the time.

He got a technical foul for this egregious flop against Jayson Tatum.

ESPN even featured Schroder on a segment about the biggest flops in the NBA.

Schroder claims he's essentially the Robin Hood of flopping. He flops against the rich to get foul shots for the poor. Schroder is exaggerating contact, but it's only to get justice for the poor Lakers!

When it comes to screens, Schroder might just be upset that he has to run around so many. Here's Schroder grabbing Draymond Green's leg navigating a legal screen in Game 2.

The Warriors may have a history of getting away with questionable screens, but it's inarguable that many Lakers have been spending the second-round series falling down on purpose. Like James Harden devotee Austin Reaves, who flails and hits the deck with such regularity that he draws shooting fouls at a higher rate than Harden or Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Still, complaining about the referees is an NBA coach's last option. Coach Kerr is clearly desperate - the Warriors lost the game because they couldn't stop Lonnie Walker IV, not because of two moving screen whistles in a quarter. But complaining about calls also works.

Expect to see the referees taking a closer look at Schroder's gamesmanship, flopping, acting, whatever you want to call it in Game 5 in San Francisco, along with the Warriors screens.
