Will Dewayne Dedmon finally make his debut with the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks? Well, there is a chance.

For the first time in over a week, Dewayne Dedmon has seen his injury status on the Sixers’ injury report upgraded. Going into the Saturday night matchup in Milwaukee, Dedmon is deemed questionable ahead of the matchup.

That’s a step in the right direction for the 33-year-old big man. Lately, Dedmon’s been battling a sore hip. It’s an injury that popped up after the Sixers took a week off for the All-Star break.

When the team returned to the practice court for a session a couple of weeks back, Dedmon participated in his first practice with the team. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it out healthy.

Going into the Memphis Grizzlies matchup two weeks ago, Dedmon was added to the injury report. He was listed as questionable due to hip soreness. Not long before the game tipped off, the Sixers ruled Dedmon out for the night.

Since then, he’s been out. Over the last four games, Dedmon’s been with the team but hasn’t suited up. He wore a Sixers uniform once since joining the team and sat on the bench for their February 15 matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Considering it was just the first day Dedmon was with the Sixers since signing, Doc Rivers didn’t issue the veteran big man any playing time in the six-point win over the Cavs.

Perhaps, Dedmon could make his debut on Saturday against the Bucks. If he does, it will mark the first time Dedmon will play since he suited up for the Miami Heat on February 4. At the time, the big man collected 12 minutes of playing time before getting traded ahead of the deadline.
