Doc Rivers: LeBron James could've been 'greatest football player ever'

LeBron James a football player? It could've happened, and he could've been one of the most dominant tight ends the game has ever seen.

As we all know, that didn't happen and James went on to become one of the greatest players in NBA history. But there's always the "what if" scenario that plays out in everyone's mind.

What if James had become a football player?

Well, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers believes James could've been the "greatest football player ever" had he chosen the sport over basketball.

It's definitely a wild thought, but it's also hard to imagine James would've been as dominant in the NFL as he is in the NBA. His football highlights, though, make it seem like he could've been just as special in the NFL.

James played three years of high school football at St. Vincent-St. Mary's in Akron, Ohio, and was recruited by some Division I schools.

Instead of being a Los Angeles Laker, James could've been a Charger or Ram ... crazy stuff to think about.
