San Antonio Spurs guard Blake Wesley can sometimes get lost in the fray of the team's rebuild, but the 2022 first-round pick has still made some waves.

In the first quarter against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, Wesley showcased his athleticism with an emphatic dunk.

"He has all the bounce in the world," Dom Barlow said about Wesley postgame via San Antonio Express-News reporter Tom Orsborn. "It's like he's a pogo stick. And he doesn't need to really wind up. He's explosive as hell. We see that in practice all the time, so it was cool that he got one in the game."

Wesley's athleticism was a big reason why the Spurs took him with the No. 25 overall pick out of Notre Dame a year ago, but after tearing his MCL in his rookie year, the former Fighting Irish guard struggled to get back in the saddle.

Wesley has played in every game for the Spurs since Dec. 31, and is slowly becoming a consistent part of the rotation. In order to continue getting consistent looks, Wesley needs to rely on what got him to the league in the first place ... his athleticism. If he can do that while also improving the weaker areas of his game, he may have a long-term place with the Spurs moving forward.

Wesley and the Spurs are set to play the Toronto Raptors tomorrow night. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT.
