The Cleveland Cavaliers walked out of San Antonio with a blowout victory over the Spurs. However, there were still some fireworks towards the end of the game.

Zach Collins and Donovan Mitchell got into a scuffle with less than a minute to go in the fourth quarter which resulted in both players hitting the showers a few minutes early. Collins set a hard screen on Mitchell and the Cavs guard immediately got up and shoved him for the hard play.

No other players were involved in the skirmish.

After review, it was deemed that Collins indeed set an illegal screen on Mitchell as the Spurs forward threw an elbow into his head. Collins was issued a flagrant foul penalty two and was ejected. Mitchell "escalated the situation" and was issued a technical foul and was also ejected.

The one who made out the best in this situation was a young fan to whom Mitchell gave his jersey as he headed to the locker room.

It was surprising that all of this transpired, to begin with. It didn't appear there was a jawing or hard play during the game, but Mitchell understandably took exception to a cheap shot.

At the end of the day, all of this happened well after the outcome had already been decided. Cleveland took down the Spurs 117-101. Mitchell finished the game with a game-high 31 points while shooting 60% (12-20) from the floor. He also dished out seven assists and grabbed eight rebounds in the win.

It's hard to imagine any more punishments to be handed out beyond the ejections.
