The Orlando Magic might have landed a gem in the 2022 NBA Draft with the first overall pick. They drafted the former Duke standout Paolo Banchero. After being drafted by the Magic, Banchero impressed many during the NBA Summer League.

Although he played just two games, it was more than enough to prove to the world why he was picked with the number one overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.

The Magic rookie has seemingly impressed Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green as well. In fact, Green talked about Banchero in a recent episode of his podcast and he had nothing but praise for the young forward.

"Paolo Banchero, I think, is one of the ones. And the reason I think Paolo is one of them guys is because of the things that he did on the basketball court that were not scoring. … I hope that organization is ready for that player because that player is a winner. That player, he cares. I mean, he was out there playing them Summer League games like he was playing in the NBA Finals. With that type of intensity. That is a winner right before your eyes."

Obviously, Banchero is yet to play a real NBA game. But gathering praise from a veteran like Green is no small deal. Dray has a keen eye for talent and if he is praising Banchero then he must be the real deal.

Additionally, Green's comments were more about Paolo's attitude and the other things that he did on the court apart from scoring. If Banchero can keep up with what he did in the NBA Summer League, then Orlando Magic fans are in for an enjoyable season with Paolo Banchero.
