NBA players going into broadcasting at the end of their careers has been a practice that has existed for decades now. Arguably the most popular basketball-related show, Inside The NBA, is mostly made up of former NBA stars. However, new platforms have given rise to new trends, and that means several current players are getting into the media space while still actively playing.

JJ Redick started his podcast before he retired, Duncan Robinson has his own as well, but perhaps neither are as notorious as Draymond Green. His Draymond Green Show is a platform he has used to wage war on what he calls the 'Old Media', in favor of this new trend, which is the 'New Media.' And he was recently talking about which active player he would like to see get into this space next, with him picking out Minnesota Timberwolves' star Anthony Edwards.

“Anthony Edwards because he has irrational confidence. He says whatever the hell comes to his mind, which I can appreciate. He’s funny, charismatic.”

Edwards isn't afraid to speak his mind, he has shown this time and again. He recently also jokingly hit out at Draymond after the latter laughed at Karl-Anthony Towns saying that the Wolves' next season will be 'championship or bust.' Edwards has the talent to back up his words too, which is what makes more people stand up and take notice.

He is also just 21 years old, there is a lot more for him to accomplish in the NBA before he makes any moves into media. Green is a 4-time champion, which gives him the additional clout to say whatever he likes, something Edwards is yet to earn. It's safe to say though, that one day, it might be entertaining to watch Anthony Edwards break down basketball games.
