During the first quarter of the Suns’ showdown against the Thunder on Sunday night, Eric Gordon etched his name into NBA history by becoming the 15th player to achieve the milestone of sinking 2,000 three-pointers.

Now in the 17th season of his illustrious career, Gordon is on a trajectory to conclude the season with an average of over two three-pointers made per game for the tenth time.

This season alone, Gordon has impressively tallied 12 games in which he made four or more shots from beyond the arc.

Looking ahead, the next target for Gordon is surpassing Paul Pierce, who retired with a total of 2,143 three-pointers made.

After jumping out to an early 13-point lead, the Suns allowed Oklahoma City to close out the 1st quarter on a 24-7 run.
