Eric Paschall has been a part of the Utah Jazz since 2021 after the Golden State Warriors traded him there. While Paschall is a free agent this summer, most of the links for a new team have been to teams in Europe. And while his future is uncertain, so is that of one of his best friends, Donovan Mitchell.

After Rudy Gobert was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, there have been strong suggestions that Mitchell will also be traded if Danny Ainge gets an offer that he cannot refuse. While the asking price is reportedly an outrageous 7 first-round picks, it's safe to say that the New York Knicks and the Miami Heat are still interested in trying to find a deal that will make it happen.

Amidst all this chaos though, Mitchell and Paschall seem to be enjoying their friendship routinely. They had a hilarious exchange on Twitter that went viral, with Mitchell chiding Paschall for not answering his phone call, and Paschall retorting as only a close friend can.

Donovan Mitchell: "How you gon tweet and not answer the phone?"

Eric Paschall: "You my girl now?!"

Considering the difference in ability between the two, fans don't often think of Donovan and Paschall in the same context, but it's clear that their friendship remains as strong as ever. Paschall implying that Mitchell is acting like his girlfriend is hilarious, and the kind of banter that happens every day among friends across the world.

Seeing NBA stars interact in such normal ways on social media is always refreshing, considering that the gap between the best players and normal people continues to increase along with the size of NBA contracts. Where Mitchell or Paschall will play next season is anybody's guess, but it's safe to say that their friendship as two boys from Westchester will likely remain intact through it all.
