Pittsburgh’s Meleek Thomas has shined for years around the Steel City, playing for Lincoln Park’s dominant basketball squad.

But the nationally-ranked five star is not far from being on a much bigger stage. On Thursday, he took another step towards the big stage by signing with Roc Nation Sports — a management company founded by rapper Jay-Z.

Roc Nation represents many top basketball players across all levels, including professional stars LaMelo Ball, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Rudy Gay, and many others.

Thomas was recently ranked as the No. 7 overall prospect in the class of 2025 by recruiting site On3 Sports, and has been a five star across numerous sites for years. He recently won his second-straight WPIAL and state title with Lincoln Park alongside Pitt signee Brandin Cummings.

Kentucky, Auburn, Pitt, and other schools are high on Thomas in his recruitment. He recently took an official visit to Pitt to check out the Panthers’ facilities once more, after taking many unofficial trips to the school throughout the season for Pitt games.

In September, Thomas released a top 12 schools list, including Auburn, Kansas State, Villanova, Kentucky, Pitt, Indiana, Duke, Kansas, Tennessee, UConn, Michigan, and Miami.
