While the NBA world is very familiar with former LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling, new stories from former players still come out on occasion. During a recent appearance on Vlad TV, NBA legend and former LA Clippers forward Dominique Wilkins shared two stories about Sterling, one of which was the infamous David Robinson game.

According to Wilkins, who has shared this story before, Sterling ordered LA's starters to be removed early from a late-season game against the San Antonio Spurs so David Robinson could win the scoring title over Shaquille O'Neal. Robinson ended up with a career-high 71 points that game, and the Spurs won handedly.

As previously mentioned, Wilkins had shared this story before, but there was another bizarre Sterling story he shared during this episode that is not as well-known. According to Wilkins, Sterling had a naked woman come out of a little kid's birthday cake.

"And then we had a birthday party for a little kid, one of the wives on our team. And they roll the cake out, and a naked woman jumps out of the cake. I'm like, this man is crazy," Wilkins said.

While people are now very familiar with Sterling's behavior as owner of the Clippers, stories like these are still shocking to hear from former players. It seems each new Sterling story is crazier than the last, and they all help illuminate why the Clippers were such a poorly ran franchise for so many years. Now with an elite owner in Steve Ballmer, the Clippers have done incredibly well turn around what was once an awful franchise.
