One player who came to Kentucky with a ton of hype was Brandon Boston Jr. His time in Lexington didn't really live up to the hype, as he averaged 11.5 points per game and 4.5 rebounds. Boston Jr. was considered a lights-out shooter heading into college but only shot 30% in his Kentucky career.
After his time at Kentucky, Boston Jr. was drafted 51st in the NBA Draft by the Memphis Grizzlies, but he was later sent over to the Los Angeles Clippers, which is his current team.
On the season, Boston Jr. has appeared in 20 games, playing 7.4 minutes a game and averaging 3.9 points per game. He has never carved out a true role in the league, as he has never averaged more than 15 minutes a game in any of his three NBA seasons. His career average is only 6.1 points, so unless something changes soon, it's unlikely he will stick around the league long.
Despite the struggles, Boston Jr. had a monster slam against the Milwaukee Bucks recently, where he was able to dribble past Giannis Antetokounmpo, and when the All-Star tried to recover, Boston Jr. dunked on him and former Arkansas Razorback Bobby Portis. After the dunk, Boston Jr. got a technical foul for yelling at the Bucks players.
Boston Jr. only had 5 points in this game on 2-9 shooting, and the Clippers lost to the Bucks 124-117, but it was still an exciting highlight dunk.
