Nick Young played for the Los Angeles Lakers from 2013 up until 2017 and it's safe to say he provided some much-needed life during some of the toughest stretches of basketball for the franchise. He had always been known as a streaky scorer that could either help put a team up by 20 or lose a lead in an instant when his shot wasn't falling. However, once LA's failed superteam of Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard and Steve Nash fell through, they went into a bit of a re-building era and Young was assessed a much bigger role.

His best year with them came in the 2013-2014 campaign where he averaged around 18 points across 64 games on 38 percent from three. Staples Center was looking for any entertainment around this time when it became clear that the team was not going to be contending again any time soon and Young brought the buckets with some swag... hence his nickname 'Swaggy P.'

However, when you take some of the shots that Young would, you're bound to have some embarrassing moments and have to live with them. He learned this the hard way in a 2014 match against the New York Knicks when he launched a three from deep that he assumed to be good and turned around to celebrate before it dropped. The only problem was that the shot actually did miss!

It's been a meme ever since and other NBA players have tried to do the same such as Stephen Curry, LeBron James and Michael Porter Jr. However, it appears that Young's son decided to try the same in his own basketball game and his shot actually went in.

Have a look for yourself!

The confidence definitely runs in the genes.
