Former Los Angeles Lakers forward Michael Beasley Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

The last NBA game Michael Beasley appeared in was with the Los Angeles Lakers back in 2019.

Although it has been several years since Beasley was active in the league, he has expressed a desire to play with the Purple and Gold for a second stint.

Beasley was initially selected as the No. 2 pick in the 2008 draft by the Miami Heat. During his time in the NBA, he averaged 12.4 points and 4.7 rebounds. Over 11 seasons, Beasley played across seven teams including the Los Angeles Lakers.

While playing for the Lakers, the forward averaged seven points and 2.3 rebounds across 26 games. Following his short-lived stint with the Lakers, he was sent to the Los Angeles Clippers but was ultimately waived by the team shortly after.

Since then, the former Laker has played overseas with the Shanghai Sharks of the Chinese Basketball Association. During his time in China, he made two CBA All-Star Games and won a 2019 championship.

Most recently in 2022, Beasley also played in Ice Cube’s "Big 3" league where he signed as a co-captain for the "3’s Company" team.

The 34-year-old hasn’t tied the knot on his career just yet and is hoping to get one more shot with Los Angeles. Although there is a slim chance that any NBA team would call up the 6-foot-9 forward, he is still hopeful to make a return to the league yet again.
