Michael Carter-Williams is coming off a season where he played in four games for the Orlando Magic and averaged 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per contest while shooting 42.9% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

This summer, the former Syracuse star became a free agent, and he still remains available to be signed by any team in the league.

In addition to his time with Orlando, Carter-Williams (who was the 2013 Rookie of The Year) has also played for the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls and Houston Rockets.

His career averages are 10.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 40.2% from the field and 25.6% from the three-point range in 395 regular season games (he has also appeared in 16 NBA playoff games).

The best seasons of his career came with the 76ers and Bucks.

As a rookie (with the 76ers), the 31-year-old averaged 16.7 points, 6.2 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 1.9 steals per contest in 70 games.

Since Carter-Williams is now a nine-year veteran, he could be a good pickup for a young team looking to add leadership to their locker room.

As for the Magic, they are coming off a year where they were the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 34-48 record.

Despite missing the postseason, they were competitive and have a young roster that will likely only improve next year.

The franchise last made the NBA playoffs during the 2020 season.
