Former Trail Blazers star Cliff Robinson dies at 53
Former NBA All-Star and 1993 Sixth Man of the Year Cliff Robinson has died at the age of 53, the UConn Huskies confirmed Saturday.
Robinson spent 19 seasons in the NBA, mainly with the Portland Trail Blazers. He also played for the Phoenix Suns, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors and New Jersey Nets.
He made the 1994 All-Star game and was named to two NBA All-Defensive second teams. Robinson averaged 14.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game during his career.
While at UConn, he won the NIT title, and the school retired his No. 00 in 2007.
