In the world that we live in, appreciation is often brought out and exchanged by words and actions. Often times, many may receive a thank you card or a gift when they’re grateful for all of the hard work you may have done. They may even offer a hug or a handshake too. It is also common to see a reward such as a gift card to your favorite restaurant or they may even decide to take you out themselves so they can join you for the meal.

With social media running the world we live in nowadays, you also see thank you pictures and posts that generate lots of love, praise, and appreciation. That is the case a lot with big major companies. If those companies aren’t big, those social media posts are formed within an email that is sent out company wide. They are often generated when one may retire or leave for another work opportunity. The Washington Wizards have been known to offer social media thank you post for countless players, including former Wizard Bradley Beal.

Taj Gibson may not have received a holiday for the city of Washington D.C., but he did receive one for the city of New York. Gibson was cut by the Wizards earlier this season.

Many felt like that was the end for Taj Gibson as he is pushing 40 soon. However, he was able to quickly find another team as he signed with a team he had many good games with in the past during the prime of his NBA Career, the New York Knicks.

Unfortunately he was cut again as the New York Knicks are preparing to bring back Starting Center Mitchell Robinson as he is returning from an injury. Taj Gibson has shown nothing but respect and true professionalism throughout this entire season. The Washington Wizards know that, and the New York Knicks know it as well. He had some of his best years with the New York Knicks. That is why they have given the day of February 18th every year as a Holiday for New York. Taj Gibson is a legend for the City of New York!
