Former Lakers coach Frank Vogel and current Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson may be among those under consideration for the Rockets’ vacancy, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Along with those names, Wojnarowski listed former Celtics coach Ime Udoka and current Raptors coach Nick Nurse as potential candidates.

While nothing is yet official, the Rockets are parting ways with coach Stephen Silas after three seasons, per multiple reports.

Vogel did not coach anywhere this past season, but spent three years with the Lakers, coaching them during the 2020 championship season in the Disney bubble. He has also served as head coach of the Magic and Pacers.

Atkinson was fired as head coach of the Nets shortly before that. He has been with Steve Kerr and the Warriors since 2020-21.

Udoka served as head coach of the Celtics last season, leading them to the Finals, but was suspended before the start of this one after what the team described as an inappropriate relationship with a female employee. He has also been mentioned as a candidate with the Pistons, as we relayed here.

Meanwhile, Nurse is still very much employed by the Raptors, but reports suggest the sides could part ways, with much of it depending on what Toronto does in the play-in tournament. He coached the Raptors during their 2019 championship season.
