The FBI has arrested G League center Chance Comanche as part of its investigation into the disappearance and murder of a Seattle-area female medical student whose remains were found in Las Vegas, police said.

Comanche, 27, went undrafted by the NBA out of Arizona and has spent each of the past two seasons with the Stockton Kings, Sacramento’s minor league affiliate. He was released by the team following his arrest.

Marayna Rodgers, 23, went missing on Dec. 6 during a trip to Las Vegas. She was last seen getting into a car with her friend, Sakari Harnden, 19, according to KLAS. Harnden has also been arrested in connection with the case.

Several new outlets noted that Comanche played a game in Las Vegas the night before Rodgers vanished.

According to the New York Post:

“Comanche was in Portland, Oregon for the Kings’ game against the Rip City Remix on Dec. 7, less than 24 hours removed from Rodgers’ vanishing. It is not known how long Comanche was in Las Vegas.”

He last played in Stockton’s 112-106 loss to the Salt Lake City Stars on Dec. 12, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Comanche is 6-foot-10 and signed with the Portland Trail Blazers in the final week of last season and appeared in one game.

He is ineligible for bail and due to appear in court on Dec. 18, the Post reported.

Hoops Wire will have more on this story as the news becomes available.
