Kevin Durant and James Harden combined for 64 points in the Brooklyn Nets’ 125-123 win Monday over the Milwaukee Bucks, and Giannis Antetokounmpo made a great observation after the game about the scoring prowess of his fellow MVPs.

Durant and Harden have quickly re-established their on-court chemistry following a blockbuster trade last week that led to the duo’s reunion in Brooklyn.

After a game in which Giannis and the Bucks were unable to overcome the dominance displayed by KD and the Beard on the offensive end of the court, the reigning NBA MVP shared his ominous outlook on how the two superstars can score with relative ease.

“This is what they do—they wake up, they come to the game and they score 30,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said of the duo, per Joe Vardon of The Athletic. “If you’re not locked in against them, they’re going to score 50.”

In two games — both Nets victories — Durant and Harden have combined for an astounding 138 points, and the associated statistical accomplishments are nothing short of remarkable.

There was some speculation ahead of Harden’s arrival in Brooklyn that pairing him with two similarly mercurial personalities in Durant and Kyrie Irving was potentially a recipe for disaster for the Nets.

While two games obviously make up a small sample size and things could go sideways in a hurry, there’s no argument that Durant and Harding make for one of the most lethal scoring duos the NBA has ever seen.
