Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks had 20 points in the third quarter of Game 2 of the NBA Finals on Thursday evening in Arizona against the Phoenix Suns.

The 20 points surpassed LeBron James and Kobe Bryant's 19 points as the most points in an NBA Finals quarter over the last 25 seasons, as ESPN noted:

The 20 points were the most in a Finals quarter since Michael Jordan in 1993, according to NBA History:

Giannis scored a game-high 42 points on 15-of-22 shooting from the field and 11-of-18 at the charity stripe. He did, however, miss four of his five three-point attempts. He also collected 12 rebounds and was arguably the most impressive player on the court on Thursday night.

But it wasn't enough for the Bucks. Although Milwaukee came out strong and ended the first quarter ahead of the Suns, it was Phoenix that surged ahead. The Suns went into the half with a 56-45 and never looked back. Phoenix is now 13-0 in the postseason when leading by double digits.

Devin Booker continued his postseason tear. He scored a team-high 31 points on 12-of-25 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 from three. Chris Paul did Chris Paul things and added 23 points in his second career Finals game.

The series will move to Milwaukee for Game 3. The Bucks hope that home-court advantage will help get them back into the series. Otherwise, we might be seeing history in the making. The Suns have never won an NBA title, and prior to this postseason, CP3 had never played in a Finals game.

Paul has already made some personal history. Can he help the Suns achieve their own?

The Phoenix Suns were 4.5-point favorites in Game 2 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night, according to FanDuel.
