Giannis Antetokounmpo reviewed 'every single option' with agent before signing supermax deal

Before signing the supermax contract with the Bucks back in December, Giannis Antetokounmpo did his due diligence. The back-to-back MVP revealed that he sat down with his agent, Alex Saratsis, and went through "every single option" to ensure that he was making the best decision from both a financial and personal perspective.

"The most important thing he told me is that he wanted me to be happy and to be comfortable with my choice," said Antetokounmpo. "We talked about every single option for months, but at the end of the day, he knows me, and knows what matters the most to me and my family."

Ultimately, Antetokounmpo decided to stay with Milwaukee, signing a five-year, $228 million supermax with the Bucks. If the 26-year-old could have become a free agent after this season and he would have been sought after by nearly every team that could afford him, with the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and Golden State Warriors among those rumored to have been targeting Antetokounmpo.

In his eighth year in the league, Antentokounmpo looks as dominant as ever, averaging over 29 points and 11 rebounds per game while helping the 21-14 Bucks remain near the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
