Every NBA fan believed that the Golden State Warriors were going to make some important moves during the trade deadline. While the team didn't do anything significant, it turns out they actually had serious conversations about numerous players.

According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, the Golden State Warriors had serious conversations about trading for both Alex Caruso and Kelly Olynyk. They refused to trade Jonathan Kuminga for anyone, though.

"They had very serious conversations about Alex Caruso, about Kelly Olynyk, teams were calling about Andrew Wiggins," Shelburne said. "He had been playing a lot better, and I think when it got down to it, from what I'm told, everyone asked for Jonathan Kuminga. They essentially said, 'We are never trading Kuminga, he is untouchable, so don't even ask.'"

One critical piece for the Warriors has been Andrew Wiggins all season. His name had been mentioned in numerous trade rumors, but according to Shelburne, his recent play stopped him from getting traded.

"Andrew Wiggins' recent play, gave them encouragement that he can rebound into the form that he was a couple of years ago when they won the title and they decided to stand pat," Shelburne said.

Even though Wiggins has been playing better, he still hasn't quite become who he was in the past for the Warriors. In the last 10 games, Wiggins is averaging 14.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 1.0 blocks on 53/41/80 shooting. What matters most though, is that the Golden State Warriors have finally started winning games again.
