On Tuesday, the NBA G League announced that current Golden State Warriors two-way guard Lester Quinones was named the 2022-23 Kia NBA G League Most Improved Player.

As described by the NBA G League, this award honors the player who demonstrates the most significant improvement during the season.

Spending a vast majority of the season with the Santa Cruz Warriors in the G League, Quinones recently signed a two-way deal with the Golden State Warriors in March after originally signing a 10-day contract.

In his rookie season with the Santa Cruz Warriors, Quinones averaged 21.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 31 games.

Over the course of the G League season, Quinones was named Player of the Week twice for games played between February 13-26 and March 13-19.

"The growth and development from Lester this year was amazing to see," Santa Cruz Warriors General Manager David Fatoki said in a press release from the Warriors. "He was a consistent force for our team this season and kept getting better every day."

Quinones also finished second in the voting for G League Rookie of the Year, which was awarded to Memphis Grizzlies two-way forward Kenny Lofton Jr.

At the NBA level, Lester Quinones has played in only one minutes this season for the Warriors.

According to the Warriors, Lester Quinones will be honored with the G League Most Improved award ahead of the team's final home game of the season on Tuesday against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
