The Golden State Warriors have not been good on the road this season, as they are just 7-29 away from Chase Center this year. The good news for the Warriors though is that they will play the 18-53 Houston Rockets in Houston on Monday night, a game that the defending champions should be able to win.
With just 10 games remaining, including this game against Houston, picking up wins is the only thing that matters for the Warriors, as doing so could help them avoid having to earn a playoff spot in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament.
Ahead of this game against the Rockets on Monday, the Warriors made a roster move, as they assigned rookie forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. to the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G League.

Drafted 28th overall in the first-round of this year's draft by Golden State, Baldwin has played in a total of 26 games for the Warriors, averaging 4.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in about 8.1 minutes per game.
The Warriors are very high on the rookie's potential, as his three-point shooting abilities and length are two things that could make him a key part of this team's core moving forward.
However, Baldwin is still only 20-years-old and getting him the most practice time and in-game reps is what matters most, which is why Golden State assigned him to Santa Cruz yet again.
The Santa Cruz Warriors will play their next game on Tuesday against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the G League affiliates of the Houston Rockets, so Baldwin will likely play in this game.
While he has seen time on the floor here-and-there for the Warriors this season, Golden State does not have time to experiment and mess around with their rotations anymore, which is why shortening things up and assign Patrick Baldwin Jr. to the G League to work on his game makes sense.
Following their game against the Rockets on Monday, the Warriors will finish up their five-game road trip against the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night, a game that could impact the Western Conference standings drastically.
