On Tuesday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost 134-124 to the Los Angeles Clippers (on the road).

Rookie Patrick Baldwin Jr. play two minutes but did not record any points, rebounds or assists.

He is currently averaging 5.0 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest in 16 games.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Warriors have announced that he has been assigned to the Santa Cruz Warriors (their G League affiliate).

Via Warriors PR: "The 2022 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors have assigned forward Patrick Baldwin Jr. to the team's G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors, it was announced today."

The 20-year-old has been sent back and forth between the G League and NBA many times this season.

Being such a young player on a team that has won four titles in the last eight seasons can make it hard to develop.

The Warriors are a team in win-now mode, so getting time with the G League is a good thing for Baldwin Jr.

He was the 28th overall pick in the draft this past summer, and has been sold during his time playing for Santa Cruz.

Over 16 games (regular season and Showcase Cup), he is averaging 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per contest.
