On Monday evening, the Golden State Warriors  will host the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.

Before the game, the team has announced that rookie Ryan Rollins will undergo surgery (and will likely miss the remainder of the season).

Via Warriors PR: "Golden State Warriors guard Ryan Rollins will undergo surgery to repair a Jones fracture of his 5th metatarsal in his right foot, the team announced today. The procedure is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, February 8. An update on Rollins' status will be provided following the procedure, but he is expected to miss the remainder of the 2022-23 season."

Rollins was the 44th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, and has played in 12 games for the Warriors this season.

He averaged 1.9 points and 1.5 rebounds per contest.

The 20-year-old has also spent time with the Santa Cruz Warriors (G League) and played well.

In ten Showcase Cup games he averaged 20.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest, while in nine regular season (G League) games he averaged 18.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest.

Rollins played his college basketball for Toledo and led them to a 26-8 record during his final season before going pro.

The Warriors are currently 27-26 in 53 games, which has them tied with the New Orleans Pelicans for the eighth seed in the Western Conference.

Last season, they won the NBA Championship for the fourth time in the previous eight seasons.
