The Golden State Warriors haven't seen much improvement from Jordan Poole this season.

The 2022-23 NBA season hasn't been easy for the Golden State Warriors, who started the campaign with big hopes, but as the games went by, their level didn't look like the one from the team that beat everybody to become the 2022 NBA champions.

The offseason fight between Jordan Poole and Draymond Green surely hit the team, and even to this day, it's creating issues for them. However, there are more things that the Warriors need to fix before returning to that great level they had last season.

One of those is Poole, who has struggled to make a bigger impact on the team this season. He's been criticized by Steve Kerr several times for his questionable decision-making, and Kerr isn't the only one looking to see better things from Poole, who is considered the future of the franchise.

Jordan Poole's Level A Source Of Concern For Warriors

According to an NBA executive, the Warriors haven't seemed much improvement from Poole this season, which has become a source of concern for them. The young guard signed an extension a couple of months ago, and now he has to live up to his contract, but so far, he's not playing at his best level.

“Poole had such a rough start, but he has gotten himself back together, but they sometimes don’t seem to know what to do with him,” a Western Conference executive told Sean Deveney. “He is a lot better as a starter, but the defense really goes South when he is starting. They were hoping he was going to be a much better defender this season, and he just hasn’t.”

Poole knows that he can be really good, as he showed in prior years. The Warriors have a future star in him and they remain pretty confident in the young player. However, it's up to him to prove that he can be a better player this season amid a tumultuous campaign for the Dubs.

Time will tell how this situation unfolds, but right now, the Warriors are concerned about Poole with due reason.
