Despite all the heights Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has reached throughout his iconic career, the one thing missing from his decorated resume is an Olympic gold medal.

Well, that’s exactly what the greatest shooter of all time will be looking to achieve this summer as he headlines Team USA’s squad for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

Golden State Warriors News: Stephen Curry Raring to Go

Along with Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Curry will be looking to lead the charge for this year’s iteration of the national team. The squad has no shortage of superstars on the roster, with the likes of Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid, among others, also suiting up for the Red, White, and Blue.

For his part, Curry recently admitted that he’s very much looking forward to representing the United States in the grandest competition of them all:

“I’m beyond excited,” he said. “… We have an amazing team. I know Coach (Steve) Kerr and his approach. He has a great coaching staff beside him. Being in Paris, representing your country at the highest level, there’s no greater experience.

Steve Kerr will be the head coach of Team USA, and you just know that this is going to be a special experience for both the four-time NBA champion coach and his superstar point guard.

Clock Is Ticking

Curry also alluded to his career being on the clock. Now that he’s just completed the 14th season of his career, the former back-to-back MVP admitted that he doesn’t have many years left ahead of him:

“I’m 36 now. I don’t know if I’d have another one, so this is definitely the year,” he said of taking part in the Olympics.

It will be a sad day when Steph finally hangs up his laces but until then, we should all enjoy his greatness while it lasts.
