Goran Dragic's recent revelation on 'The OGs' podcast sheds light on the prodigious talent of Luka Doncic even from a tender age. According to Dragic, Doncic's basketball prowess was evident as early as 10 or 11 years old, showcasing an extraordinary ability to dominate games and score at will.

"He would come and watch, you know he would be at practices. When he was older like 8-7, he would be a ball boy. Even back then when he would play, I don't know he was 10-11 you know he was so dominant even then he would score like 40,50,60 points is crazy."

"Yeah, I know. You know, when I know, I know 2017 when we had a training camp for a national team two months before Eurobasket and he was 17 and just watching him at practice."

"Oh my god. Yeah, he would make some passes that I don't even know how he, you know, how he was doing that and his IQ was so good at 17 is like I knew it." (16:18)

As a young child, Doncic's passion for the game was palpable. He would eagerly attend practices, even serving as a ball boy at times, demonstrating an early immersion in the world of basketball. Dragic reminisces about witnessing Doncic's scoring outbursts, with the young prodigy routinely racking up astonishing point totals of 40, 50, or even 60 points in games.

Such remarkable performances at such a young age speak volumes about Doncic's precocious talent and competitive drive. His ability to take over games and produce at an elite level foreshadowed the extraordinary career that lay ahead for him.

Even as a teenager, Doncic's basketball IQ and playmaking abilities were off the charts. Dragic recalls being astounded by Doncic's passing prowess during training camp for the national team when Doncic was just 17 years old. Despite his youth, Doncic displayed an uncanny understanding of the game, making plays and decisions that belied his age.

For Dragic, witnessing Doncic's evolution from a young prodigy to an international basketball sensation was both awe-inspiring and validating. Doncic's rapid ascent to stardom comes as no surprise to those who have seen him grow and develop his game over the years.

As Doncic continues to make his mark on the NBA and global basketball scene, his early years as a dominant force on the court serve as a testament to his extraordinary talent, work ethic, and love for the game.

Goran Dragic Has Advice For Luka Doncic To Win NBA Title

Goran Dragic's recent insights into Luka Doncic's game have sparked intrigue and discussion, especially considering their shared history on the Slovenian National Team. While Dragic acknowledges Doncic's exceptional talent and impact on the court, he believes that the Mavericks' star needs to make a crucial adjustment to his game in order to secure an NBA championship.

"I think so, he can win, he just needs to change a little bit, maybe trust his teammates more. I'm not saying, because he does pass the ball, but just get off the ball a little bit more."

"And because of, you know, if you have the ball so much in your hand you get tired, and then it's a long season and even in the playoffs you know I think that's too much." (17:59)

According to Dragic, Doncic should focus on trusting his teammates more and relinquishing control of the ball at times. Despite Doncic's impressive passing ability, averaging 9.8 assists per game, Dragic suggests that allowing other players to take on more responsibility could benefit Doncic in the long run.

By sharing the offensive load and playing off the ball more frequently, Doncic could alleviate some of the physical and mental strain that comes with constant ball-handling duties, particularly during the demanding NBA season and playoffs.

Dragic's advice comes from a place of admiration and respect for Doncic's talent and potential. Having observed Doncic's development from a young age, Dragic recognizes Doncic's innate ability to dominate games and make remarkable plays. However, Dragic also emphasizes the importance of adaptation and evolution in Doncic's game, particularly as he strives to lead the Mavericks to postseason success.

Doncic's scoring prowess and versatility have already made him one of the most dynamic players in the NBA. With Dragic's constructive feedback in mind, Doncic has the opportunity to further refine his game and elevate his team to championship contention.

As the Mavericks continue their playoff journey against the Los Angeles Clippers, Doncic will have the chance to put Dragic's advice into action and showcase his growth as a leader and playmaker on the court.

While winning an NBA title is a formidable challenge, Dragic's belief in Doncic's abilities and potential impact serves as a motivating factor for both Doncic and the Mavericks as they pursue championship glory.
