Grizzlies' Dillon Brooks continues heel turn by shoving cameraman

Memphis Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks has done the trash talk and the groin-punching. Now he's pushing cameramen around.

During the Grizzlies' blowout loss to the Miami Heat, Brooks ran to the sidelines in an unsuccessful attempt to save a loose ball. A loose ball created by his own badly bricked three-point attempt. Brooks' momentum took him towards the first row, where he extended his left arm and shoved a cameraman who was kneeling and filming the game.

It might be excusable, except that Brooks clearly catches himself with his right arm on a courtside table. The shove is far from a natural move. Brooks doesn't apologize to the cameraman or help him up afterward either.

It's one thing to cheap shot Donovan Mitchell. But the cameraman didn't do anything to Brooks! Perhaps Brooks thinks of himself as the modern-day Dennis Rodman.

It's also possible that Brooks is playing up his villain reputation, like a wrestling heel urging the crowd to boo. In the past month, he's feuded with Draymond Green and trash talked injured Mavericks stars Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. Perhaps he's trying to distract the press from constant talk about Ja Morant's bad behavior, and turn the narrative to his own, legal hijinks.

That also might explain his pregame outfits.

Or maybe it's not that complicated, and he's just bad at controlling himself when he's frustrated. Like, for example, when trailing by double digits in the first half and missing all his outside shots.

Whether it's genuine or an act, the result is the same. Dillon Brooks is coming for everyone. Whether they're on the court or not.
