Memphis Grizzlies rookie forward GG Jackson II signed a multi-year contract on Friday.

Specific terms of the deal were not disclosed by the Grizzlies, however ESPN reported it was a four-year contract.

Jackson, 19, erupted for 27 points in Memphis' 118-110 loss against the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. He is averaging 9.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 20 games (one start) since being selected by the Grizzlies in the second round of the 2023 NBA Draft.

Also on Friday, the Grizzlies waived forward Chimezie Metu.

Metu, 26, was acquired by Memphis from the Phoenix Suns on Thursday in a three-team trade also involving the Brooklyn Nets.
