Free agent forward Hasheem Thabeet has signed with the Sichuan Blue Whales of the Chinese Basketball Association, per the RealGM transactions log.

Thabeet, 35, is 7-foot-3 and was the second overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, selected by the Grizzlies.

He spent the first two years of his career with Memphis, followed by two seasons with the Rockets, another with the Trail Blazers and two more with the Thunder. He played his last NBA game during the 2013-14 season.

Since then, Thabeet has bounced around the G League and international leagues, including stops in Japan and Taiwan. He was named to the G League’s third-team All-Defensive squad in 2015.
