Hawks' Cam Reddish likely out through end of regular season

The Atlanta Hawks have gotten used to playing without forward Cam Reddish, who has been sidelined with right Achilles soreness since Feb. 21.

On Tuesday, the Hawks announced that Reddish "has progressed to running and dynamic foot contacts, and capacity-building strength work." According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Hawks added that Reddish will be examined again the week of May 16. That timeline would sideline him for at least the rest of the regular season.

The Athletic's Chris Kirschner adds Atlanta fans shouldn't get too hopeful about Reddish potentially contributing during the playoffs:

Reddish, who turned 21 this past September, started 21 of 26 games during the 2020-21 campaign and was averaging 11.2 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest before his setback. The Hawks, meanwhile, are fifth in the Eastern Conference standings at 34-28 and play at the Philadelphia 76ers (40-21) on Wednesday.
