Atlanta Hawks forward Jalen Johnson departed Tuesday night's home game against the Miami Heat with his third right ankle injury in less than five weeks.

Johnson scored a basket with 5:42 left in the third quarter and was moving backward behind the basket when he badly turned the right ankle. He remained near his own basket as the Heat went on offense in the other direction.

When the clock stopped with 5:25 left, Johnson was helped off the floor and went to the locker room. The Hawks ruled him out late in the quarter.

Johnson had 13 points on 6-of-7 shooting and collected eight rebounds in 24 minutes before exiting. The Heat won the game 117-111 in double overtime.

Johnson injured the ankle against the Cleveland Cavaliers on March 6 and missed three games. In his third game back, he hurt the ankle against the Los Angeles Lakers and missed six contests.

This was Johnson's fifth game back since returning from the second ankle injury.

The contest was the third-year pro's 56th of the season. Johnson, 22, entered the game with averages of 16.1 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.6 assists.
