The Atlanta Hawks requested waivers on two-way guard Jarrett Culver on Saturday, ending the former first-round draft pick's stay with the team after just 10 NBA games.

According to multiple reports, the move was made to create a roster spot to sign guard Donavan Williams to a two-way contract. Williams scored 15.6 points per game this season with the Long Island Nets of the G-League.

Culver, 23, last played for the Hawks on Dec. 16. He averaged 4.4 points with 3.8 rebounds in 13.7 minutes. His season high of 10 points came against the Denver Nuggets on Dec. 2.

The Phoenix Suns made Culver the sixth overall selection in the 2019 NBA Draft. The Texas Tech product was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves less than a month after he was drafted.

In four NBA seasons with the Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies and Hawks, Culver averaged 6.5 points with 2.8 rebounds in 17.2 minutes over 144 games(43 starts).
