With a chance to close the series and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals, the Hawks will wear their MLK jerseys for Game 6 Friday evening in Atlanta at State Farm Arena.

After incomprehensible comebacks in both Game 4 and Game 5, the Hawks have the Philadelphia 76ers in a corner as the series returns to Atlanta with a chance for the good guys to go to the Conference Finals for the first time since 2015.

The Sixers opened as three-point favorites for Game 6, making the Hawks underdogs for the sixth straight game against Philadephia. Game 4’s 18-point comeback was fueled by the energy in State Farm Arena, and the momentum has clearly shifted to one side, but more importantly, the young Atlanta team has confidence. Game 4 was also ironically the last time the Hawks wore their MLK jerseys, which they are 11-1 in this year and undefeated in the playoffs.

Closing out a team as talented as the 76ers will be the Hawks most difficult task yet. Nevertheless, the building should be electric, and I expect Trae Young to feed off the energy of the moment, rising to the occasion, and sending the Hawks to the Eastern Conference Finals in his first NBA postseason.
