Miami Heat forward Haywood Highsmith will miss Wednesday night's home game against the San Antonio Spurs after being involved in a car accident Tuesday night.

Earlier Wednesday, Miami listed Highsmith as out due to personal reasons.

The Heat defeated the visiting Orlando Magic 121-95 on Tuesday night.

"We have been made aware that Highsmith was involved in a car accident heading home from last night's game," the Heat said in a statement. "Highsmith is listed as out for tonight's contest against the San Antonio Spurs due to Personal Reasons.

"Our hearts go out to those who were injured. We will have no further comment at this time."

Highsmith, 27, is averaging 5.8 points and 2.8 rebounds in 37 games (24 starts) this season. This is his third season with the Heat.
