The Brooklyn Nets got back in the win column when they beat the Washington Wizards 104-90 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Monday night.

They had been coming off of a loss in their home-opener to the Charlotte Hornets the day before.

In this one, the Nets did not leave the outcome up for chance, they came out in the first quarter and smacked the Wizards 38-20.

After the game, All-Star Kevin Durant spoke to reporters.

"I like that when we didn't make shots to start the second half, we still got stops," Durant said post-game.

Durant had 25 points, eight rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes of action.

"This team is playing with confidence, and I think we came in here on the second night of a back-to-back and imposed our will the whole game," Durant said.

The Nets improved to 2-2 on the new season and now have wins over the Philadelphia 76ers and the Wizards.

They've lost to the Milwaukee Bucks and the Hornets.
