In 2012 Bob Myers was named as the Golden State Warriors General Manager. After his joining, the team won their first championship in 40 years. And till his last year as the GM, the Warriors won a total of four championships in the span of seven years. The Warriors organization has shown nothing but respect for Myers’ contribution to the legacy.

In July of last year, Myers decided to step down as the Warriors GM. Myers now is an NBA analyst for ESPN and President of Basketball Operations. On Wednesday Myers called the Warriors vs Bucks game with Mike Breen. Maya’s return to the Chase Center was an emotional one as he received a standing ovation from the Warriors fans. Myers’s return was celebrated by the Warriors organization.

After the game, at the press conference, Warriors’ forward Draymond Green was asked about Myers’s return to the Warriors ground. Green had high praise for Myers, saying:

To see him be celebrated tonight the way he should have, you talk about jerseys getting retired, his will. His name will be up there in the rafters. Draymond Green said

Green praised Myers’s contribution to the team. Mentioning not just professionally, Myers has also been an emotional help for the team. The forward said:

It's not putting the team together...It was the work he did on relationships. Draymond Green added

Green who was drafted by Myers considered the analyst an essential part of the dynasty.

Bob Myers receives a warm welcome from Warriors fans on his return

On Wednesday, Bob Myers called the Warriors vs Bucks game as a commentator. This was the first time Myers returned to the Warriors home ground the Chase Center after stepping down as their General Manager.

The Warriors prepared a tribute video for the former GM. The video was presented during the first quarter of the game. Myers’s daughters were present to introduce their father which made Myers visibly emotional. After the introduction, Myers received a standing ovation from the crowd.

Myers’s contribution to the team and dynasty will always receive respect from Warriors fans. Myers has been responsible for drafting and recruiting some of the most players in Warriors history. Including Green, Andre Iguodala, Kevon Looney, Andrew Wiggins and Kevin Durant.
