Brandon Miller scored 18 of his 26 points in the first half and the Charlotte Hornets built on their best stretch of the season by defeating the visiting Atlanta Hawks 122-99 on Wednesday night.

Tre Mann, in his third game with the Hornets, poured in 21 points and Miles Bridges had 17 points as Charlotte shot 49.4 percent from the field. Grant Williams and Vasilije Micic, both newcomers to the team in the past week, turned in 15 and 13 points, respectively, and Nick Richards had 12 points.

The Hornets have won three games in a row for the first time this season after winning a total of 10 games prior to the streak. Now, they go on pause because of the All-Star break.

Charlotte held an opponent to less than 100 points for just the second time this season -- and this was the first time it came in a victory.

De'Andre Hunter posted 21 points off the bench, Jalen Johnson had 19 points and 12 rebounds, Saddiq Bey provided 14 points, Dejounte Murray added 13 points and Trae Young and Bogdan Bogdanovic each had 12 points for the Hawks, who've lost four of their last six games.

Young was held to less than 20 points for the third straight game, something that hadn't previously happened this season.

The Hawks were 9-for-38 on 3-pointers, with Young at 2-for-8, Murray at 1-for-7 and Johnson at 0-for-5.

Charlotte racked up 27 assists on 44 field goals, led by Mann's six assists. The Hornets were 19-for-20 on free throws.

Miller and Mann both made four 3-point shots. Seven different Charlotte players made at least one 3.

The Hornets, who scored 10 points in the last three minutes of the second quarter, led 61-55 at halftime and extended the edge to 96-80 through three quarters. Miller had eight points in the third quarter.

Young had eight first-half points, going 3-for-4 from the field.
