Unfortunately for Frank Ntilikina his off-season plans to play in the FIBA World Cup for France have been cut short due to a hamstring injury. Ntilikina suffered the injury in a friendly between France-Lithuania and has been ruled out for the rest of the summer for the national team.

According to reports, there is no current timetable for return for Ntilkina's injury and the seriousness at this stage is unclear. In a positive sign that the injury hopefully isn't too serious Ntilikina posted on his Instagram with the quote "Back Soon".

Ntilikina has $200k guaranteed of his $2.5 million contract with a guarantee date of October 1st. This injury can only hurt Ntilikina's chances to make the final roster as his fitness and game shape will now be in question heading into training camp. If the injury is clearly serious, Charlotte could decide to move on early and delve back into the free agent market before other veteran options sign elsewhere.
