Hornets unveil new uniforms ahead of 2020-21 season

The Charlotte Hornets are bringing back the double pinstripes.

Charlotte unveiled its new association and icon uniforms ahead of the 2020-21 campaign on Monday. The primary uniforms will be white jerseys with teal pinstripes and teal jerseys with white pinstripes.

When the Bobcats rebranded in 2014, they kept the original teal and purple color scheme of the first iteration of the Hornets. However, the uniform designs strayed from the original, and fans have been calling for the Hornets to bring back the pinstripes ever since.

The Hornets wore replicas of the original uniforms for a few games each of the past three seasons, and they became very popular. The new design pays homage to the classic look, much to fans delight.

The new-look jerseys will be available for retail purchase on Oct. 1. Charlotte also is expected to unveil a new city edition uniform later during the offseason.
