Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is coming off a year where he appeared in 43 regular season games for the Oklahoma City Thunder.

He averaged 6.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 44.4% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

Over the offseason, he was traded from the Thunder to the Houston Rockets, but he will now be waived, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium

Via Charania: "The Houston Rockets are waiving forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The big man has averaged 7.2 points and 4.9 rebounds through two NBA seasons."

Robinson-Earl was initially the 32nd pick in the 2021 NBA Draft out of Villanova and has played two seasons in the league (all with the Thunder).

His career averages 7.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 44.4% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range in 92 regular season games.

Since Robinson-Earl played a solid role for the Thunder, he will be a name to watch now that he is headed to free agency.

As for the Rockets, they will play their first game of the 2023-24 regular season on Wednesday night when they visit the Orlando Magic in Florida.

They are coming off a year where they were the 14th seed in the Western Conference with a 22-60 record.

Despite missing the NBA Playoffs for the third straight season, it's possible that the Rockets will be a contender to make the postseason in 2024 because they made significant additions over the offseason.
