Incredible Tyrese Haliburton stat magnifies how dominant he’s been

If a NBA player finds themselves on a short list of 10-15 or even 20 players who have accomplished something incredibly impressive, it's rightfully viewed as a massive deal. But when a player has done something as many times in one season as the entire rest of the league combined? It's a different type of dominant, and that's the position Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton put himself in after Monday night's victory over the Boston Celtics.

Haliburton, who led the Pacers to the NBA in-season tournament semifinals with the 122-112 victory against Boston, finished the game with a triple-double, scoring 26 points with 13 assists and 10 rebounds. But arguably, the most impressive aspect of his 40 minutes on the floor, paired with the huge stat line, is that he didn't turn the ball over a single time.

As StatMuse detailed, this marked the third time during the 2023-24 NBA season that Haliburton scored 25 or more points with 10-plus assists and did not turn the ball over once. Across the rest of the league, spanning every regular-season game, that feat has been accomplished just three total times.

The wild stat showcases how stellar Haliburton has been through the first 17 games. Haliburton has become one of the premier passers in the league and is averaging career-high marks in points (26.9) and assists (11.9) per game while having his best season shooting the ball as well, knocking down 52.1% of field goal attempts and an astonishing 44.7% from three-point range. He's also managed to post these eye-opening numbers while turning the ball over just 2.4 times per game on average, the third-fewest of his career.
