The Indiana Pacers announced on Wednesday that they have waived guard Trevelin Queen, who had been on a two-way contract with the team since before the start of the 2022-23 season.

Queen, 26, played in a total of ten games with the Houston Rockets last season. This year, he played in seven games for the Pacers, averaging 3.0 points and 2.4 rebounds in about 10.0 minutes per game.

Spending time in Houston on a two-way contract a season ago, Trevelin Queen was named the 2021-22 NBA G League Most Valuable Player with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers.

Going undrafted in 2020, Queen has made a name for himself in the G League ranks and will look for another opportunity at the NBA level.

The Pacers currently find themselves 33-43 on the season ahead of their game on Wednesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks

Tyrese Haliburton and Bennedict Mathurin seem to be the two young faces of this franchise moving forward, but success has been hard for the Pacers to come by lately, as they have lost six of their last eight games.

With just over a week left in the regular season, Indiana finds themselves 3.5 games back of the 10-seeded Chicago Bulls in the Eastern Conference standings.

Heading towards the offseason, it appears as if the Pacers will continue what they hope is a quick rebuild, as they will more than likely end up with another lottery selection in the NBA Draft.
