Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie. Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

One player on the Brooklyn Nets may be quiet-quitting.

Zach Lowe of ESPN touched on Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie in his latest column. Lowe notes that Dinwiddie’s shot attempts are trending downward and adds that Dinwiddie’s drives and field-goal tries at the rim have sunk to at or near career lows.

“It almost looks as if Dinwiddie is on some kind of strike,” Lowe wrote.

Team outlet NetsDaily confirmed Lowe’s observation about Dinwiddie seemingly being on a strike of sorts, posting Friday on X that they have “heard [the] same thing from a league source.”

The 30-year-old Dinwiddie is indeed having a miserable season for the 16-24 Nets. His efficiency has plummeted (with 39/32/78 shooting splits), and his marks of 13.3 points on 10.9 shots per game are his lowest in more than a half-decade.

Dinwiddie is on his second career stint with Brooklyn. But he did not choose to return and instead was sent over from the Dallas Mavericks as part of last season’s Kyrie Irving trade. At one of Dinwiddie’s previous stops, there were some unsavory claims that emerged about his presence in the locker room. Dinwiddie may not be doing himself any favors with this latest stint on the Nets either.
